Photographic Society

Welcome to the Central Coast Photographic Society or “Photo Society”. We are a group of like-minded people interested in all aspects of photography. Our skill levels range from beginner to professional, and we welcome everyone to join and/or attend our meetings.

The Photo Society has a general meeting once a month. Presenters include professional photographers such as Nic Stover (a local photographer), Rad Drew, Michael Caroff, and others. We also feature our Photo Society members.

Our meetings are currently held on the first Monday of each month (except for December) at 7pm. We will continue holding our meetings on Zoom through January and hope to resume in-person meetings at SLOMA next year.

If you are not a member of the Photo Society and have an interest in photography, we invite you to join our group. If you have questions, we would love to hear from you. You can contact us at photosociety@centralcoastartistscollective.org. Membership in the Artists    Collective - Photo Society is free through the rest of 2021.

Thank you,
Ralph George, President

SLOMA Exhibition
EXPOSURE/COMPOSURE

The Photo Society exhibit is up and running until January 30, 2022!

9 members of the Photo Society have their most creative work on display, and it is an amazing show - with grateful thanks to Courtney Davis, Curator.

This is what Courtney wrote about the show:

"While photography has historically been valued for its ability to depict our world objectively, there are some photographers who seek to reveal it to us by abstracting objects and moments they observe. By carefully composing shapes, forms, colors, and textures, they create new ways of seeing our material world".

CCPS members who have their abstract work accepted into the EXPOSURE/COMPOSURE show are:

Bob Canepa,  Kathleen Bosch,  Gary Smaby
Pat Brown, Yael Korin,  James O'Donnell
Cat Evans, Nic Stover,  Pat McGinnis

Congratulations to all!
